Getting ready for the trip

Well we booked this cruise last year when our friends, Mike and Steve said they were going on it.  We have never done a transatlantic crossing before so we are very excited. 
We will start out flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico from Orlando.  We'll spend the night in San Juan then board the ship, Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Sea the next day.  The cruise is fourteen days long.  We end up in Rome, Italy at the end, but we stay on board and go to Greece for the next ten days and then return to Rome.

Here is a list of the ports of call we will have on the crossing.
Days 1-6 we will be at sea
Day 7 La Palma, Canary Islands
Day 8 Tenerife, Canary Islands
Day 9 Las Palmas, Gran Canaria
Day 10 at sea
Day 11 Gibraltar, United Kingdom
Day 12 Alicante, Spain
Day 13 Valencia, Spain
Day 14 at sea
Day 15 arrive Civitaveccia (Rome), Italy

Day 16 Messina (Sicily), Italy
Day 17 at sea
Day 18 Mykonos, Greece
Day 19 Rhodes, Greece
Day 20 Santorini, Greece
Day 21 Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Day 22 Crete, Greece
Day 23 at sea
Day 24 Naples, Italy
Day 25 arrive back in Civitaveccia (Rome), Italy

We have a wonderful ocean view balcony for both legs of the trip and we are looking forward to sitting on our balcony and sipping a glass of wine.
